BARDcore Reading Series - General Auditions

Match: Lit will hold General Auditions by appointment only on Sunday, March 1, 2020. Audition submissions for actors open February 10.

Those invited to audition will be asked to prepare any Shakespeare monologue they like, and must also come prepared knowing any conflicts for all rehearsal and performance dates.

Match: Lit will cast all three fall readings from these auditions.

No video submissions will be accepted.

Match: Lit is fully committed to provide more visibility to traditionally underrepresented groups of actors in its casting - and we will start at the very root of it with our audition pool. Actors of all races, ethnicities, abilities, body types, genders, gender presentations, and sexual orientations are encouraged (nay, emboldened!) to apply.

Whether it's understanding a play, speaking the text for the first time, or rehearsing a new audition piece or major role, Match: Lit's Director of Education Rudi Utter (Macbeth in Macbeth; Friar Lawrence in Romeo & Juliet) is here to help you make the most of your language - no matter your skill level.

Registration is Now Open! Learn more about our Shakespeare training here.
